I am buying this as a gift and don’t know the first thing about fishing.  How would I go about buying one?

Whether you are buying this as a gift or for yourself the design process is the same.  Contact us to set up a design session and we can walk through the best rod set ups and configurations for the person you are buying this rod for.  This not only allows us to incorporate everything you want to make it a one of a kind gift but also allows us to provide a fishing rod that is going to function properly for the type of fishing that it will be used for.

What is a Tennessee Style Handle?

One of the questions we always get asked.  The Tennessee style handle is mostly on spinning rod set ups and basically means that there is no reel seat and that the cork handle is extended all the way down the base of the blank.  The purpose behind it is all about sensitivity and feel.  Having nothing but the cork handle between your hand and the blank boosts sensitivity and allows you a better feel for softer and lights bites.

This is my first time having a rod built.  What can I expect?

A fully involved experience.  Les believes that you are not only buying a one of a kind fishing rod but that you are also buying an experience.  We want you to be involved as much or as little as you want to be but most importantly we want you to be happy, and at the end, give you the fishing rod that excedes your expectations.  You will be involved every step of the way and we encourage you to ask questions, change your mind, and be as adventurous as you want.
