HOW TO START THE PROCESS

If you already know what you would like then the process is easy.  Simply order online and once received we will get started right away ordering parts and getting the rod started.  We ask for six weeks from the receiving the parts to the completion of the rod. 

However if you should have questions or would like something truly special incorporated into your build then contact Les directly via email at Les@phillipscustomrods.com.  Les will reach out to you personally to discuss possible options and guide you through each step of the process.

WHAT TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE ORDERING:

What are you fishing for?

This is a very important question.  Because of the variety of types of fishing styles, techniques, and species the type of fishing you will be wanting to do will help in choosing of the rod blank and layout that will be used for your build.

What kind of fishing rod would you like to have?
We can do it all so based on what type of rod you want be it a baitcaster or spinning pole for inshore, ultralight fly rods for backpack fishing through the mountain streams, or a complete set to for trolling offshore, knowing what you are looking for will help us in rod set up and choice of blank.

Color scheme and diamond prints?
We have a wide choice of colors and can accommodate almost every color choice.  The choice is up to you when incorporating colors and diamond print so let us know if there is something truly unique you would like to incorporate.  If you don't know about the colors you would like to use then we would be happy to help you through the process with a set up you are to truly love.

Once the parts have been received then the build process will start.  We will keep you involved every step of the way.  Once the first guide wrap is completed we will send photos to make sure the color scheme is to your specifications.  One agreed the rest of the guides will be installed.

The diamond print will be the next to be installed.  Once complete pictures will be sent to you again for approval on the diamond print set up before completion of the rod.

Once finished pictures we be sent once last time of the complete rod to ensure you are completely satisfied with the final product.  Once approved we will put the finishing epoxy on the rod and ship it to its destination.
